 This Spring Summer 21, Stine Goya finds joy in the everyday moments of life and celebrates the expression and the creative spirit of her community. Through play, through experimentation and through abstraction, Stine Goya presents a balanced & curated collection which celebrates the energy of our House and speaks to the very essence of our DNA.

Inspired by the Fauvist movements’ emphasis on strident colors and abstraction, this season’s main prints are scenes from the everyday happenings and experiences of the House of Goya. The “Dancers” – inspired by Matisse’ famed work – reimagines joyous Danish summer nights and the collaborative scenes of seasons past. The color palette is almost acerbic, creating a sharp contrast to the fluid movement of the composition’s subjects and the draped silhouette of ARLINDA DRESS. This season’s “Distortion” print – a delicate hand-painted watercolor is pulled from its context and translated into rich woven jacquard with metallic detailing. This textural quality and sharp color palette – on outerwear pieces TOMMY COAT & KIANA JACKET – amplify a feeling of distorted reality, while the structured silhouette adds drama and impact.

There is playful energy that runs throughout the collection, especially in reference to print & fabrication. The geometric grids as seen on ROSEN DRESS and SKYLA SHIRT are heavily sporting–influenced & reminiscent of racing uniforms – however, realized in sustainable materials, Ecovero and Organic Cotton, take on a more romantic and elegant aesthetic. The ADDYSON DRESS – an arguably more delicate print symbolizing wealth & good energy, showcase an expert manipulation of drapery, drawstrings, and raglan stitching to incorporate sporting elements into evening fabrications and environments.

As is expected of Stine Goya, Spring-Summer 21 is a flurry of new ideas that reiterate our commitment to a more inclusive and representational narrative. Our designs are reflective of the energy of our House and the faces behind the brand. Pairing classic tracksuits – ADRISA HOODIE & ZAZA TROUSERS – with couture-inspired fabrications – IMANI JACKET – or imagining utilitarian and unisex outerwear – GRACE JACKET & FRANKIE TROUSERS SUIT COMBO and JILIAN TWEED JACKET – we hope to give our customers further means to explore their own true style and find joy in the process.
